For the uninitiated, Patton Oswalt is a comedian with incredibly sharp delivery and the uncanny ability to pick the funniest word to squeeze as much laughter out of his audience as possible. Feelin’ Kind Of Patton is a great showcase for his humour: seventy-one minutes ranging from inane jokes (“Facts About Midgets”) to pop culture rants (“Steak”, “The Magic Of Oil Painting”) to personal anecdotes (the sublime “Toronto Open Mic”). The diverse topics get a solid through line thanks to Oswalt’s frenetic energy and delivery. Fans of standup should enjoy this: the jokes are sometimes surprising and unexpected but always hysterical.
