I’ve got to say that I didn’t really care for this book. Maybe something got lost in translation, but I didn’t like the style Arrabal used when writing it. Every chapter was 2 pages & I think a little more explanation was needed about what kind of activity the mother was making her daughter do at the furnace in the basement. It took until the end before I caught it, & even then I wasn’t sure.
