So I never saw this movie as a kid. I saw it for the first time as a 25 year old man. And it was a bizzare cheap film.
I mean cheap in that its budget cuts were obvious. I mean cheap in that although it was vehemently stated that this film was not an actual sequel to the wizard of oz, they still utilized elements of that film to make this movie more comfortable.
I dunno…i think the biggest thing was how they made the original cast, the scarecrow especially. i mean for real, what the fuck was that shit.

I’m surprised I wasn’t frightened by this movie as a child. It creeps me out now though, it’s still one of my favourite movies from my childhood.

I remember going to see this at the cinema. The Gnome King still sends shivers down my spine.
