Funny! — 38 weeks agoThere’s been some controversy about some of the things in this book, but OMG, it’s so freakin’ funny! Funny. A great addition to my cookbook collection, even though it’s not really a cookbook.

i threw a “meat party” potluck last week.
my vegetarian boyfriend was out on tour with his band, so i figured i’d take the opportunity to satisfy my meaty cravings in one fell swoop with those of my friends who are also not vegetarian (although a few of them came by anyway).
i cooked up amy’s “pot roast for jack black” recipe and it was an enormous hit. it was a huge dish, and i literally had no leftovers after the party was over asside from a few spare carrots and potatoes.
yes, it is an incredibly funny read, and it can come across as just a joke book… but the recipes really are tried and true hits, and her advice on entertaining is also actually quite practical.
