Take one really, really hot actress (Theresa Randle), surround her with cameos by a Who’s Who of celebrities in moviedom (Halle Berry, Quentin Tarantino), modeling (Naomi Campbell), and music (Madonna), add a dollop of phone sex, underscore it with a soundtrack by Prince, and call it a SPIKE LEE JOINT. WhoooHah! You’ve got to love it. Silly. Sad. Sexy. Sordid. Serious. Sentimental. Spike, pure Spike. I just loved the two scenes where Lovely buys cigarettes. Not mainstream in the least, give Girl 6 an award for best cult film of 1996.
