I DVR’d this a while ago and finally found the time to watch it this weekend. I have the sense of humor for it, but I don’t think I can watch this by myself. I’m going to keep it on the DVR until I have friends over and we have “one of those” nights.

In my experience, you need two things to enjoy this movie: a high tolerance for sick humour, and a group of like-minded people. I first saw this in the theater with a group of ten friends and we laughed so much we left with sore stomachs. Watching it again by myself, it’s not as funny as when we were all building on each other’s giddiness. Highlights from the main feature include Sarah Silverman, Gilbert Gottfried, and Bob Saget; the supplemental features are good too, with more jokes and other anecdotes. Worth watching only if you have a taste for the bizarre.
yes it’s vulgar. yes it’s offensive. yes the joke isn’t really that funny. yes it’s worth it! the bob saget version alone is worth the 88 min. it’s supposed to be vulgar. half way through you start thinking of your own version of the joke. at least i did. mine involved a a 9 year old jerking off a dog.

If you think incest, having sex with your kids and pooing in women’s mouths is funny, then this is the movie for you. I found it disgusting and offensive.

this is one joke that lasts 2 hours and doesn’t get any funnier after the first 40 seconds. to tell the truth it’s not really all that funny to begin with. i will say that some bits were a little surprising – that sarah silverman seemed like such a nicer girl… but all in all you’re better off screaming obscenities at a mirror for approximately the same effect

It wasn’t really so much of a documentary as just talking to a bunch of comedians on their take of the joke, but there were some pretty hilarious parts in it. Especially the Bob Saget interview, wow, I could not stop laughing, hahaha.

A friend of mine raved about this documentary, so I had to rent it. I ended up turning it off after about 15 minutes. It was very repetitive and vulgar and very unfunny. Maybe I would have liked it if I were a 13-year-old boy…Why was this made? I can’t believe there are people who can sit through the entire thing, let alone enjoy it. I’m just glad I didn’t pay to see it in the cinema.

If you love comedians and really, really dirty jokes, you’ll love this movie.
You don’t want to watch it with your parents or children.
I checked out The Aristocrats the other night. I found it to be funny, but a little repetitive. It was interesting to see how so many different comedians put their own spin on the same joke. Certainly worth watching once if you’re into comedy.
I recognize that this documentary is not for everyone, but I loved it!!!! Thanks to all who revealed this inside look at comedians and their art.
