WORTH CONSUMING!
This film would usually get a 7/10 – which is really not bad at all – but the 8/10 it does get, simply because of the unnerving bad-feel that permeates the film from the start. I don’t know why VĂ©ra Clouzot’s part is unintentionally, comically stiff, but Simone Signoret makes up for it. Soundtrack is sturm-und-drang but as a whole, this film is scary and good, with an ending that the film warns you about spoiling.
