This is, in my opinion, the best cookbook I have come across. Beautifully designed, expertly organized, covering every subject and ingredient imaginable (in Italian cooking at least). Find a dish by ingredient or type, or just browse and become despaired that you don’t have the time to make every single delicious recipe you’ll come across!

I am going to try out my first recipe from this incredible cook book tonight. Pork Chops in butter and sage. Sounds delicious. I’m sure it will turn out remarkably………

I just love cook books. This has been on my “to buy” list ever since I heard that it had been published for the very first time in English.This book was first published in Italy over 50 years ago and is the “bible” of all italian cooking. Certainly taking me back to my roots. Very extensive – so much to absorb, but I am wading my way through it. A lot of inspiration to be had here…..

I have alot of cookbooks, but I think this is my favorite. I can look in the fridge see what I have on hand and then take a look in the Silver Spoon and lo and behold, a plethora of dishes I can make.
