Fright Night was actually a great deal of fun – once it got going. The beginning, however, was terribly slow. However, Colin Farrell makes a delightfully louche vampire, and alongside the utterly bonkers vampire ‘slayer’ played by David Tennant the piece really picks up. Just, shame about the dull lead, really.

The 3D adds very little, apart from during a few scenes with showers of sparks.
