you’re better off just watching the trailer as it covers the funniest parts of the movie, and keeps it lighthearted.

this movie, on the other hand, is so over the top and downright mean that I found myself without any sympathy for either character. It was like they wanted to do a remake of Planes, Trains and Automobiles and decided to “modernize” it by cranking up the far fetched scenarios and stupidity – as if that would somehow compensate for the lack of warmth and compatibility.

Very far-fetched, but typical in that way as far as comedies go. Kind of a modern day Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Some of the humor is juvenile, and the personality clash gets overblown at times between Peter (Downey) and Ethan (Galifianakis), but there are more than a few good laughs as this odd couple travels coast to coast by road for the birth of Peter’s child in L.A.
