It’s fun to go with friends. I went with a bunch of my friends and we had a blast and a lot of laughs. The movie itself is pretty corny, so just be in a silly mood when you watch it.

Okay for young kids, I didn’t think it was great, but I didn’t fall asleep.

Not as good as the first one — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

but worth packing up the rugrats and taking them to the theatre for. The storyline wasn’t as griping as the first one and there wasn’t any new character developement for anyone, but the mamoth. But its a cartoon so what can you expect. The CGI was amazing and of course
Scrat and his acorn is back, that alone is worth the price of admission.

I saw this tonight at the Movies (first night it was released) and it was well worth it! Graphics were amazing and all the fav characters were back. I actually found it quite different to the first one, almost a different sense of humour throughout it. Some really witty dialogue and of course, an endless battle of scrat vs the acorn. If you loved the first one, you can’t miss the second.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I saw the ‘making of’ a while ago and the animator was going on and on how new fur and water effects added a new level of realism and all I could think was “dude, it’s a friggin’ cartoon!”. But in all honesty, it does look amazing. The fur moves with the wind, gets wet, and the water! Wow.

Great animation, excellent timing on the execution of gags, and who could hate Scrat, the neurotic protosquirrel? There were some ‘cheap sentiment’ shots but overall it was nice, friendly, and fun. And everyone knows I’m a sucker for CGI.

In short, it’s cheerful, it’s harmless, it might be spoonfed corny entertainment but I still had a laugh or two. This movie didn’t pretend to offer anything more so I was not disappointed. And it had CGI.
