If you’re like me, you don’t remember much from history class. Whenever I hear a reference to a historical event in the US, I pick up this book and read the 3-4 pages about it.
I think if our schools taught history like this (cold, hard truth), we’d all remember a lot more of it!
I have to admin, my knowledge of US history post WWI is quite poor. I hope this fills in the gaps.

My first attempt at a book club failed. But I will finish this one day.
This book should be required reading for every American. The middle drags a bit, but overall, an EXCELLENT book.
