Predictable story and character development, but still plenty of fun.

Few movies based on comic books can hold a candle to The Dark Knight or the first Iron Man film. This film based on the character of Captain America doesn’t disappoint! The film does an excellent job combing the best of the Jack Kirby/ Joe Simon Capt. and the Ultimate Universe Capt. It ties in of the different costume variations and makes way for their to be a Bucky without playing the sidekick angle and it allows for their to be a Howling Commandos without Samuel L. Jackson having to be almost 100 in order to have led the squad.Even the villains are brilliantly done, especially Arnim Zola. There are tons of fun Easter Eggs throughout.Excellent casting all around- especially Chris Evans along with Tommy Lee Jones, and Dominic Cooper, who plays Howard Stark, who both steal the show.

The biggest disappointment is that the bad guys aren’t technically Nazis, nor are they really Hydra. They look more like Destro’s Iron Grenadiers. Also, they’re double fisted salute wasn’t intimidating at all. It was one of the most laughable parts of the whole film.

regardless, this was an awesome movie and I hope after the upcoming Avengers film, they give Steve Rogers some more solo films in which to star. Worth Consuming!
