NOT WORTH CONSUMING
When I was younger, reading a whole book of the exploits of rich and fashionable New Yorkers would make me wiggle with vicarious delight. Today I just find these people shallow and scheming and boring and repellent. Fortunately the writing was pretty good, so it carried the book even though the characters and story left much to be desired, in mine.
