Even though I didn’t think I would, I really liked this book. It went quickly and having pictures of what was described was very handy and a nice reference.

I hear “Angels and Demons” is better, though.

The story is ok. But it’s handy to view pictures of the art mentioned in the book.

the end just kind of… tapered off. it wasn’t the big bang that i expected to be. but i guess they couldn’t that since it had to be somewhat believable. the pictures helped out a lot too, saved me several trips to the computer to search for paintings on the internet. very interesting and exciting read. greaaat!

Given all the hoopla I had head about this book, I thought it was going to be better than it was; I expected something more in “The Name of the Rose” vein. It was more like “National Treasure”. However, I did find it entertaining enough to keep reading.

I did not particularly care for the writing style, as it read more like a TV or movie adaptation to me. I suppose since the movie is coming out shortly, that is a benefit.
