WORTH CONSUMING!

Who would have thought a movie about a stuttering royal could be so captivating? My goodness this was well done. They could have easily gone the comedy route with this story, instead they managed to bring out a very, well, human story. It’s still punctuated with dry British humour (some great oneliners) but it doesn’t make fun of “Bertie” and leaves him his dignity. In fact you can’t help but sympathise and hold your breath a bit during his speech.

On top of the great performances I also loved the beautiful use of light and the sets. A very, very good movie.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Anything. (mostly). with Geoffrey Rush in. Is worth a look. It struck me as a Tv film. Very good performances throughout.(Guy Pearce as Edward VIII). But it doesn’t set the world alight. The normally wonderful Timothy Spall as Churchill. I couldn’t stop myself laughing as he did his impression of a bulldog chewing a wasp.
