I feel like I have seen this movie before. With an exception of an origin story, this film is pretty much Iron Man (the first film). The best parts are those that don’t really occur in the first movei, which is Whiplash and more SHIELD involvement.

The best part is after the credits. I don’t want to spoil it, but once you wait till after the credits, you won’t be able to wait for the 2011 Summer movie season!

Worth Consuming.

The action scenes are good, and Mickey Rourke totally steals the show, but there is a lot of down time in this sequel. Gwyneth Paltrow sleep walks through her part and gets upstaged by Scarlett Johansson. Downey Jr. elevates his self-centeredness as Tony Stark 2 to stratospheric conceit. When Samuel L. Jackson as Fury tells him the Avengers want to hire Iron Man but not Stark, it pretty much sums up my appraisal of the movie. Note to Downey Jr.: Keep the suit on.
