Usually I’d just call it wishy-washy, but given how funny both Carell and Fey can be there was really no excuse for the lacklustre mishmash that this ended up being. It’s not even internally consistent, imo.

Carell and Fey apart from this movie are witty and funny ordinarily but here they flopped. I didn’t believe they were married at all. I don’t know if it was the writing or they just didn’t connect. O.K. movie for passing the time other than that don’t get your hopes up to high.
My expectations were low and I was actually lured to the theater with the promise of popcorn. The premise of the movie seemed tired and although I like both leads I figured (incorrectly) that it would be Michael Scott married to Liz Lemon – it was not.
There were lots of funny moments that were not disclosed in the previews and who doesn’t enjoy a shirtless Mark Wahlberg? I laughed a ton, got my popcorn and apologized for my preconceived notions.
