WORTH CONSUMING!

A tsunami survivor in Paris. A bereaved young twin in London. A reluctant paranormal in San Francisco. You have to trust director Clint Eastwood to somehow bring these three disconnected stories together, and he does, although it seems to take forever. Half the movie has been seen before the word “hereafter” is spoken… the tie that will eventually bind the three lives. The film raises some interesting questions about the nature of chance as well as the afterlife. One caution: Much of the film is in French with subtitles, and they move quickly, especially if your eyes are focused on the loveliness of Cécile de France. Mmm.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Dealing with death surrounding three different people in various ways, this film manages to be sobby, indifferent and does a great job at showcasing Matt Damon as a genius again. Not memorable, not entertaining.

I felt every minute of the movie – this could be good or a bad thing
