Slow Start but Fun — 1 year ago
I found the start a bit slow, but I was soon caught up in the adventures of Hiccup as he tried to balance his new friendship with a dragon and his training to fight them.

Why didn’t I know dragons were fish-eating, purring, laser chasing, catnip-loving beasts who turn in a circle before they lie down to sleep?!
By the way my cat loved watching this movie.
Great good fun, moral lessons and all. The animation is spectacular in 2-D on the small screen, especially the flight scenes, so it must have been awesome in 3-D and Imax. Loved Craig Ferguson’s voice over. America Ferrera was good, too.
This was a really cute movie, however my 3 year old was not that trilled with the scary dragons in the opening scenes and abandoned the movie entirely. I have to admit this is not for the younger set. As most animations these days this is geared for a more adult crowd with just enough zing and flash to keep the young ones interested.
I had forgotten that this originally came out in theaters in 3-D until I saw another post, and I too am sad about not seeing it in theaters. It would have been awesome in 3-D!
Toothless rocks! Wish there had more in depth one on one scenes with this dragon.
Loved it! Really regret not seeing this movie in a theatre in 3D…
