Really beautiful animation! Even individual snowflakes are worked out in detail, all with an Irish touch. The plot could have been a bit stronger – the book stands for hope, I get that, but there isn’t much they do with it, and not much of an ending to this movie. I suppose one could draw comparisons with the abts fear of the unknown and the attitude of some religions in global towards the unknown. But for me I’m more than happy to watch this just as a gorgeous fantasy movie on a grey Sunday morning nursing a cold.

Fresh take on animation and a smooth-flowing storyline make for excellent weekend viewing. Something non-Disney, no-Pixar that’s good for all ages.
