The only thing that really annoyed me is why this movie had to be tweaked and turned around so it was set in America, when it’s a Japanese dog and a Japanese story.

But if you put that aside Hachi is a cute movie. It’s got a cute dog in it, and it’s a sweet story about loss and loyalty. I actually thought it was quite smart how Mr Gere managed to make a story out of nothing more than a man and a dog and a trainstation.

It´s not a complicated storyline, it´s not suprising plot and it is sappy. But it´s a nice watch on a lazy sunday.
