A story about this — 2 years ago
I’ve about a dozen screencaps showing how drab and slow life is in Somewhere, Romania, where a cop stresses over a “stunt operation” to bring some hash-smoking teens in. Problem is the cop’s conscience, and the undue sentencing and jail time he’ll be inflicting on the youths. The movie is very much unlike your stereotypical Hollywood big boom action packed summer blockbuster. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Lots of scenes detailing police bureaucracy. Lots of scenes showing folks walking from one place to another. A few cars, yes, and one bicycle. The bicycle shows up just when I was about to ask, “Wouldn’t these people be getting there a little faster if they rode?”
Politist, adj. is that sort of movie that gives you time to think questions out loud.
PS. Yes I am a cyclist. I ride, and when I’m not – I think about riding.
