This movie could have been cute. Not ground breaking, but cute. Unfortunately the main character was woefully miscast. The boy was not only very unattractive and clearly too old for the part, he also came off as very unlikeable. It was hard to believe that anyone, even his best friend would like him, he was whiny, immature and abrasive. His friend however, wasn’t bad, he should have been in the lead: more believably dorky and awkward while still being likable and not so grotesquely ugly or old that you felt sorry for poor Hayden P. who had to kiss him.
