The pilot episode utterly failed to convince me: it was contrived, the characters more than a little annoying, and the premise felt hashed together from too many other places. Fortunately I persevered, as I ended up finding this a fun, wacky, light-hearted series, and its amusing daftness was a great balance to some of my other viewings – and to life!
