gosh i got pissed at her mom. but i loved counting the exact similarities between this book & pride & predjuce (airhead mother, rich ‘divorced’ darcy, his vanishing out of nowhere to take care of business, his sudden rush of words, etc etc)

Quite a bit different than the movie actually. Mom’s much more unsympathetic a character here and Bridget and Mark have a much more “Gone with the Wind” ending than in the flick.
