i was not familiar w/ the game so i had no idea what to expect going into this movie. it was good. plenty of action, crazy creatures, and a pretty girl.

This was one of those movies I expected to be bad. It was, in the most perfect ways possible, making it great!

Its got The Rock, the busty scientist sister, the roguish but hansom hero, and an incompetent but well-trained squad of soldiers.

The final fight sequence was short but well done. Good tension, nice wire-work and an excellent finale.

Not only is this movie bad, it’s almost 2 straight hours of bad. The FPS sequence feels interminable—like watching your retarded kid brother play the video game in slow motion. The layout of the martian facility still escapes me. All the characters in the movie keep running back and forth from one end to the other for no reason. The scriptwriters can’t even get the cliches right: “bag ‘em and tag ‘em”? You tag them first, then bag them. They should have just recorded someone playing the video game and it would have been better. Thank god bras are apparently banned on Mars. Then curse him for allowing this movie to be made. If this movie was a baby bird, its nestmates would sense its malignance and push it out of the nest to save the gene pool.

Very possibly the dumbest movie I’ve ever seen. Still, the production values are good, The Rock isn’t all that bad (he’s really a very charming actor), and the action is decent. It’s just so DUMB!

Did I just say “Worth consuming”?! Well, yes – it’s a bad movie, but it’s a great bad movie! Thoroughly, brainlessly enjoyable. And I loved the first-person shoot ‘em up view :)

I’m a bit embarassed. I did indeed watch Doom again, and I liked it. there, I said it! I like Doom.

I still blame it on the Karl Urban hotness and the fps sequence.

Who woulda thought the ROCK would’ve turned bad in this movie. MAN lol all in all this movie was awesome. and which I wasn’t very much of an avid player of doom but the movie in alot of the scenes and storyline really didn’t follow the game. But I still LOVED THE MOVIE THOUGH LOTS OF HOTTIES!!!!!

I thought that this would be one of the worst movies ever, surpriingly it was only mildly bad and somewhat enjoyable.

Barely worth consuming! I mean, I did fall asleep about 3 times during the movie. I wasn’t tired when it started, but it was so boring. The monsters looked awesome, though. The action was just really repetitive. However I loved the fps sequence! I know I should probably be ashamed to admit that, but it was fun! Plus I am a sucker for Karl Urban. What can I say? So, I guess it’s worth consuming if you like Karl Urban or first person shooters. Or perhaps you could just fast forward to the last 15 minutes.
