WORTH CONSUMING!
One of the best known Malay dishes in Asia. There are many variations e.g. Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian. Basically, marinated pieces of meat are skewered onto thin wooden sticks and barbecued. Served with spicy peanut sauce, cooling cucumber, onions and some compressed rice called ketupat. Yummy! One of the best places to try this in Singapore is at Lau Pa Sat, an open-air eatery in the heart of the CBD area.
