This weekend I had my 2 nieces – aged 6 and almost 8 – and this is one of their favorites so we had to watch it. They were so enthusiastic that I have to give it a “Worth Watching” – especially if you are a girl under 10 years old.
It is very clean and sweet. The songs are catchy and fun. The kids LOVE it and I didn’t hate it.
I was really impressed with how clean cut and sweet and innocent this movie was. My 5 yr old wanted to watch it, and my husband and I watched it when she was asleep to see if it would be okay for her to watch. And I was pleasantly surprised because I had sat through 30 minutes of Cheetah Girls awhile back, and it was an awful movie and totally inappropriate for a 5 yr old to watch. But this movie was fun to watch and is something the whole family can watch together. I really appreciate the fact this movie contained no innuendos or bad language. Why can’t there be more movies out there like this one for young children?

I usually enjoy Disney Channel Original Movies, but I downright loved this one! It’s funny how Disney has been producing a bunch of crap movies on the big screen lately that haven’t had a trace of the signature “Disney Magic” in it (Chicken Little, Brother Bear, Home on the Range, etc.) but this had some! Hubby and I loved it, and he’s not one to like musicals as much as he did this one.

but cute and kind of fun. Ever the quintessential American, I love blood and guts and gore as much as the next person, but sometimes it’s good to watch something lighthearted and wholesome like this. I’ve watched several of the Disney Channel’s original movies over the years and I usually enjoy them.

At first i was a bit apprehensive bout watching it but i found myself getting more and more curious about it as the ad with that song Breaking Free was on ALL the time so we got it for Xmas and I have to say the first time i watched it, i was like OH GOD! what are they doing? But you’d be surprised how the songs just creep inside of you and then you find yourself singing along with them and now…I love it! My favs are Breaking Free and Getcha Head in the Game (i used to cringe at that one but now i dance along with it) hehehe! definately just watch it for the laugh!
It’s cute. Of course, it’s a Disney movie, and you probably know how those go, but it still made me want to sing and dance.

Yes, it’s cheesy and predictable. But it’s also lots and lots of fun.

I had to watch this movie with my daughter. She asked so nicely. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning, but it was entertaining~
