It was the dog who got to me. I read the whole book with a sense of agitation, but I didn’t start to cry until her dog appeared in heaven.
32 pages in, and I’m shedding tears. A book hasn’t made me cry in at least 10 years.
Was so upsetting to me initially that it’s taken me a long time to read. Interesting book, now that I’m past the details of the murder. It still scares the pants off me, having two daughters.
Now that the hype is almost over I can read it peacefully.
9/10 Disturbingly wondelrful
Haunting story of a teenaged girl, murdered by a neighbor, who watches her family from Heaven. Thought provoking, charming, eerie, very well-written.
Enchanting. Like a dream. A refreshing style of writing.
This book was hyped so much that I didn’t want anything to do with it. Finally, at least a year after everyone else read it, I broke down. I was missing out. It really is an excellent book.
Lots of people have already read this. When my myum travelled up to visit me she was stopped twice by different people when they saw she was reading it. I began it this morning, and I am enjoying it v.much. It’s like a very odd mystery novel.
So what if I’m the last person to read this – I feel like I’ve been looking forward to it forever.
One of the best books I have ever read (and I have read quite a few…) I truly think this book will become a classic!
I’d read a lot of this book and was glad to get my hands on a copy of it. Having read it, I’m not entirely certain what all the hype was about. It was an okay book, but it wasn’t exactly good, and towards the end it got kind of… I don’t know. It was okay.
