Very nicely put-together murder mystery/suspense novel. I’ve not traditionally been a big DC fan, so I wasn’t familiar with any of the villains or some of the heroes, but this didn’t seem to be a problem. The story was mostly about people who happened to be heroes, and worked very well on that level – it provided a depth that is often overlooked in superhero comics, and just drew me in. The artwork was quite nice overall, except for a few bits where I was confused about which villain that I’d never heard of I was looking at…
If you can possibly get a copy that includes the author’s and artist’s ending commentary, do so – it really adds to the experience, not that the story needed help – it’s just a very nice bonus.
