i’m sorry. i really seem to be in the minority. but not even the total sensuality that is ruffalo. & the awsomeness that is kirstin dunst ( favourite actor. & actress. in the same movie!!) could make me love it. even really like it.
maybe i have to watch it a few more times. or someting. to start to appreiate it. nah.
i didn’t hate it. but i won’t remember it much this time next year. bum. i was so supposed to think this was really good :(.
This is the second time I’ve seen it, and my boyfriend’s first. There are many things to get out of it and, though I am one who would want the good memories taken away as well as the bad (the good ones hurt more, in my opinion), my main take-away lesson is that love can bloom even when the lovers’ flaws are hanging about in the room with them and the ugly/boring/cruel side has made itself evident. It’s not society, class, age, blah, blah, blah, or blah, but the bad stuff within us and our inability to see around it to the good, that gets in the way of our relationships.
Not really a big fan of romance films, they usually follow the same kind of mushy overused plot in my mind but I may be wrong. This film though is well thought out and the romance is written well. Couples do have problems and they certainly have theirs, seeing as she erased her memory and all. It also raises the question about ‘fate’ in my mind, like they were destined to be back together or maybe its just the subconcious fighting back, oh gosh. Anyway, excellent film!
Worth getting on dvd.
