A story about this — 1 year ago
I love listening to film scores – sort of classical meets mood music – and this is a classic. I’ve had it recommended so many times, that when I saw it on offer (with the movie!) I had to give it a go.
It’s really not what I was expecting, to the point of initial disappointment. There are lines from the film floating through the first few tracks, and an odd 1920-ish interlude in the middle. What?! Hmm, I need to watch the movie again obviously!
However, the second half is much more what I was expecting, and the whole thing really has grown on me. There have been many copiers since this was released, but eventually I was able to hear the originality coming through.
