WORTH CONSUMING!
Overall it’s not that impressive an album—for the most part all the songs have that same overdone sound to them that everything currently on the radio has. But there are a few saving graces: Ryan Adams’ “Nuclear” (and anything that contains Ryan Adams songs has my vote), Phantom Planet’s “Lonely Day”, The Flaming Lips’ “Fight Test”, and Eva Cassidy’s lovely cover of “Time After Time”.
What’s terrible is Sixpence None the Richer’s cover of “Don’t Dream it’s Over”. If there ever was a song that didn’t require remaking…
