WORTH CONSUMING!
Windy City Blues is a collection of V. I. Warshawski stories, first time I’ve read any. Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of the detective genre. I started reading the book as mind-candy to help me get to sleep. In the end, I found myself picking up the book during the day. Some of the tales are more captivating than others. I’m tempted to try out one of Paretsky’s novels to see if there’s anything better to be had there. I give this book a lukewarm thumbs-up.
