One of Snow Patrol’s better CDs, I think, along with A Hundred Million Suns. I’d heard several tracks on the radio previously (Hands Open, Chasing Cars), and the rest combine to make a pretty well-rounded album.

I should probably listen to this more before crossing it off, but I’m getting sick of things hanging about the list! And I’m getting bad for buying CDs and rarely listening to them.

Anyway. I love Chasing Cars – lovely song! However, about halfway through the album it’s all beginning to bore me just a little and nothing else stands out anywhere near as much. Many albums have this effect on me, although rarely do I have to get up and turn the damn thing off ‘cos there’s some weird random noise track thingy in there. Urgh.

But, if I lay here – if I just lay here, would you lie with me…

i saw sp in atlanta last month when they were tuning up for the release of this album. they played the song chasing cars and it about made me want to cry. it was one of the most amazing songs i had ever heard.

i didn’t know the name of it, but i knew it was incredible. i have been waiting on the release of this album for a month now so i can hear it again.

it has not disappointed. it is the best love song i have ever heard.
