WORTH CONSUMING!
Not bad, although not up to what I’d expected based on Bujold’s reputation. The plot and pacing reminded me of an old Heinlein story, which is a good thing, but not so much for something written so recently. The characters were likable (except the ones that weren’t supposed to be), but ultimately one-dimensional. Still, enough empathy was generated that I felt like following along ‘til the end.
