WORTH CONSUMING!
this was so astoundingly british i almost felt like i shouldnt be watching it. but i did. and its sillyily entertaining. michael caine is great, noel coward is an icon, and the music, while i could stand a few less rousing choruses of we are the self-preservation society, is pure 60’s bliss.
as the movie went on it became more and more fanciful, and just plain silly. and of course the ending is..well..quirky.
much much much more preferable over the remake. much.
