NOT WORTH CONSUMING

“The brilliant sequence in which the alien extends the hand of friendship” – that is ridiculous.
The alien holds an item, that may resemble some kind of weapon. No wonder someone shoots him down.

The film is filled with logical inconsistencies. Artillery deployed about 20 meters away from the target? The alien is supposed to look like a friend while in fact he is hostile. And the ending speach… omg what a stupid bullshit…

Frankly speaking, this film sucks.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Classic sci-fi tale about first contact, which is just as timely today (if not more so). The brilliant sequence in which the alien extends the hand of friendship but is shot down by a soldier says so much about our society and the paranoia rampant within it.
