Well…I found out about this book looking at someone’s book list. I picked it up at the book store and never put it down. I absolutely loved it, especially because I’ve never read anything with a gay character in it. Thanks to whoever’s list I saw this on! I’m going to go buy another one of his books soon definitely.

I think I found this more complelling than Running With Scissors. I couldn’t put it down. There was no way that I could predict which path everything would take. A great book. Highly recommended.

burrough’s memoir of his alcoholism and recovery somehow manages to make both the advertising industry and rehab funny (okay i admit the advertising industry IS kind of inherently funny). i’m loathe to admit that it actually made me cry (quite a feat), and the last 50 or so pages are pretty incredible and surprising. a good read.
