Running With Scissors is one of the best memoirs i’ve ever read. i can’t think of a book where i’ve simultaneously gasped in horror, snickered with amusement and nodded in solidarity.

So far, this book is a bit of a disappointment (I’m only on page 100 or so). The story itself is wacky and weird, but the story-telling is a bit under what I was expecting… I was hoping to find another great and funny author like Jonathan Safran Foer or Jonathan Ames. Maybe it’s because his name isn’t Jonathan? The search continues…

The people in this book are crazy. I’d love to hear what Hayden has to say about them. If I were to reread, I might sit with abnormal psych book in hand. This story is so unbelievable that I had to believe it.
