I can’t gush enough about this movie. I was looking forward to seeing it (I liked the look of it and I’m a fan of Neil Gaiman’s work) but I had no idea I’d love it so much. While watching it I had to fight to stay awake — not because it was in any way boring, but because it felt rather like I was being read a reeeeally good bedtime story. This film manages to be both slick and heartfelt. It’s dark and tense and horrifying in places, but completely appropriate for children of all ages.
