I cannot stop myself from ordering them, again and again, like candy to a baby : ) They have become a weekly habit for me, and I’m sure Starbucks has like a huge plaque somewhere with my name on it that reads, “Sucka!”

But a photo of this product should be in the dictionary, right next to the word “divine” and next to “the best of American capitalism that could be paired with rum if the Starbucks was positioned handily next to a liquor store.” Hmmmm…... would coffee even be good paired with rum – I’m pretty sure it’s been done.

I’m glad I tried it – not really sure what eggnog tasted like, it was a little bit scary! It did have a slightly weird taste, not unpleasant, and very cinnamon-y, but maybe not one I’ll be rushing to try again. At least I know! :)

Okay… I had two yesterday. One in the morning and another in late afternoon. The scene of the crime(s)... the Studio City starbucks on Ventura. The bonus – the late afternoon kept me up through my evening clients. The downfall – loaded with luscious calories, so I spent some extra time on the treadmill today.

i thought i consumed this, but then i realized i was wrong. i actually consumed the eggnog chai, which i have now added. it was confusing because they called it an “eggnog chai latte” which doesn’t really make sense. i’ll get the coffee version next time.

I was influenced by Erik and Maggie. And I don’t regret it.

Half egg-nog, half non-
fat milk: holiday coffee,
hot cupped perfection.

I look forward to the day after Halloween more than any other day in the holidays, simply because that is when places begin to sell eggnog lattes. Who can resist the sugary sweet goodness with nutmeg on top? Not I.
