This is another thing I would never try when I was younger because the name “sounded disgusting.” I finally tried it about a month ago and it is really good! Smells odd, tastes GREAT
What would a Reuben sandwich be without meat?

What would it be without the sauerkraut?
I don’t want to think about it.
This was my first attempt at homemade sauerkraut. I stuffed two small shredded cabbages and some salt in a jar. I added about 3 Tbsp of salt for a quart of cabbage, but I tasted it today and I think that’s too much salt. Next time I’ll try 1.5.
