A story about this — 7 years ago
I never know quite when to say I’ve consumed music. My new test is whether something stays in my CD player in the car for extended periods of time. Demon Days has definitely done that!

It was good but…
It’s just… missing… something.
I really wanted this to be my favorite album. I fell in Love with Feel Good the second I heard it. But the first four tracks are a little lame and the last three get old fast. The middle’s great.
Definitely among the best 5 from the last 5 years.
I love that the ol’ cartoon band put together a concept album. I LOVE listening to this straight through, but I’m a narrative-lovin’ girl. Demon Days, I hereby dub thee The Best Thoroughly Modern Fantastical Opera I’ve Dubbed Yet.
I really like the whole thing, sometimes I don’t feel like listening to November Has Come or White Light, but they’re both good tracks.
Hopper’s creepyness on “Fire Coming Out of a Monkey’s Head” totally seals the deal.
“Feel Good Inc.” and “All Alone” are so catchy, I’m sure I’m driving my husband nuts with the repeats. Most of the rest of the album just drags tediously however. I admit I actually like the track “Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head”, but it’s not an actual song. Hmph. I was so hoping for another album I could listen to straight through and enjoy every single track until I ran it into the ground. sigh
