Some are calling it a video opera. Some have called it a soap operetta. I think the best term I’ve seen to describe it is a hiphopera. no matter what you call it, R. Kelly has created a breakthrough new musical genre. I really found myself sucked into the insanity of it. When the policeman returns to “save” Gwen from her jealous husband, the film editing is so bad, it’s like a cartoon. But that’s the point. It’s not supposed to be taken seriously, just enjoyed for what it is and whatever it is. Bravo!

You would think after 5 minutes you’re ridiculous for watching it, but OH NO. It just sucks you right in, and you’re left to watch the rest… DEAR JESUS.
