Eats, Shoots and Leaves was very amusing social commentary, and funny!

On the other hand, Talk to the Hand tends towards the shrieky and self-righteous. I theoretically agree with many of her points about the rudeness in today’s society, but find her observations about the whys and the how-to-fix-its more than a little over the top.

By the end of the book I’d quite lost patience with her and was, in fact, finding her rather rude.

Go figure.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Lynne Truss is my new hero. She makes some excellent points about the decline of no longer common courtesy in today’s society, its causes, and origins. And I don’t blame her a bit for wanting to stay home and bolt the door! :-)

WORTH CONSUMING!

I only read one of her other books and didn’t enjoy it. This on the other hand appealed. Quick and easy book to sit down with over a cup of tea, finding yourself nodding and grimacing about how people are just plain rude!
