To be honest, I listened to all the songs on the album, plus the ones from the previous album Nothing and Nowhere all at once. This proved to be a mistake, as after a while, the songs really do tend to sound the same.

Of course that doesn’t stop me from liking this album. The recording quality is much better on Violet than it is with NaN, and the songs really do get under your skin, so after a while you’re even humming them whilst doing random things. The themes tackled by the album, while not the most original in the world are still bear relevancy, and let’s face it – most of us have been there at some point in our lives, so we understand perfectly well what TBM’s on about. :) And while this doesn’t have anything to do with the album, TBM are great live.
