I love Holmes and Watson as near superheroes. I wonder how it will effect my reading of the stories now?

I also loved that Holmes had a love interest who was pretty good at kicking ass herself.

Really, really enjoyed this. It’s the Guy Ritchie-style that’s familiar from Lock, Stock, etc, but applied to a different period/genre – one with much more pedigree and appeal. The fusion works brilliantly, imo. The classic detection of a Sherlock Holmes mystery, done with such action, speed, and just wow!

The soundtrack was also impressive enough to have me hitting Amazon this morning :)

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Decent update to make the classic character more of an action hero.
