I was never able to quite get into the Flickr community. I found the group aspect confusing, and, as I dislike paying for any online group, I didn’t like the limits on the number of photos we could upload per month. I also didn’t like the limit on number of albums for non-subscriber types.
So I use Yahoo Photos, which gives me albums and unlimited space. For free.
Since I’m on Yahoo!, I stumbled upon this by accident. I was intrigued with it and joined awhile later. Using my disposable camera wasn’t a problem, since I’m too cheap to by an SLR or even a digital, but then I bought a cameraphone which I can take more photos with and upload them! I’m having too much fun with it.
I have just started to learn photography and I’ve found flickr to be not only a great place to display my photos but also a great photography community in general. In less than a month I upgraded my free account to Pro. I love the site, and I’m so glad a friend of mine turned me on to it!
Obsessed with flickr I am.
I found this site randomly and fell in love with it. It’s not like photobucket where people just post their crappy pictures, they’re actually good, artistic photos. You can also browse through tags to find the ‘most interesting’ photos of your liking.
Flickr is my friend. blickr.com/photos/bets_h
9gb of photos is why. I’m working my way back from the present to upload pics. Since I’m now a ‘pro’ it’s alot faster, before I had to be really selective, and hope I didn’t forget to select resize when I chose export. FWIW the iphoto plugin is awsome for this…
